Project Brief
Umami Cafe was a new, local restaurant that did not have a website presence aside from their existing social media pages. We presented them with a website concept that would convey their passion of delivering a truly farm fresh culinary experience for their guests. It was important to incorporate the relationships they had with local farms and their desire to create a sustainable cafe that served food from our back yard.
Drafts & Revisions
After discussing layout options with Umami, we decided to use a custom WordPress website that allowed them to edit their content on the fly. We discussed incorporating their Instagram and Facebook feeds directly into the website and added in more photos to give their site a personal touch that matched the ambiance of their restaurant.
Final Delivery
We created a site that focused on their unique story and their extensive menu of local and Asian-inspired flavors. We also incorporated a gallery of their Umami inspired menu items that imported data directly from their Instagram page. We wanted the site to be simple, clean and easy for their customers to find the information they were looking for.
